What's interesting is that the battle of good v. evil has the potential be have a very pro-Christian message embedded. If the character decides to keep the baby, that would be a pro-Christian message. Also, the fact that these super powers are imbued from the baby seems like a symbol of the value of life prior to birth which is also a pro-Christian message. The "outrage" here seems very trite: anything depicting evil is a promotion of evil. Reminds me of an old episode of King of the Hill where Bobby wears a shirt with the words "Satan Sucks", and Hank gets upset. Dale cleverly asks Hank, "what does you shirt say, Hank? Satan rules?"
