Are overweight moms more prone linea nigras? Does weight effect the bellybutton “popping”?

Pretty sure that lines nigras depends on how dark a womans skin complexion is. Very pale & light complected women don’t tend to have them.

I think being overweight does effect it usually keeping it innie, but I have seen some overweight women who got pregnant that developed huge herniated outies as well, I think the Linea Negra depends on skin tone

Actually 80% of pregnant people, of all colors and body types, get a linea negra. It can be darker/more visible on those with darker skin.

The belly button is just the remnants of the umbilical cord in one's abdomen. When you get pregnant the uterus pushes against it from the inside and can pop it out. If there is more body fat for the uterus to push through then the belly button may not pop out.

Outties depend on weak abdominal muscles and poor skin elasticity. If the skin around the navel can stretch and maintain flexibility the navel will remain inside. If the skin has poor elasticity it will become tight and pull against the navel in combination with the expanding pressure of the uterus. These combined forces work to essentially squeeze out the navel.
