Not sure why age alone has to be a determining factor. Who cares how old she is if she looks good?

Maybe it's because you're still pretty young. Your opinion on this will probably change as you get older.

This is kinda an unrelated question, but do celebrities normally wait a while before announcing they've given birth (as with Natalie Portman), or do they announce it immediately after?

It varies. Some would announce it either within the same day. the next day, or in Portman's case wait an entire week before announcing they've popped.
