Not necessarily, depending on how the baby is growing and if there are any other things going on. Some women measure a week or two ahead depending on size of the baby/body make up. For instance a shorter woman may be 32 weeks but measure 33 or 34 since the only way the baby has to go is out rather than up.

4 weeks is about 2 pounds worth of baby growth on average. Could be a decent difference, could not be. Some women get big very late, but some of them get big early. Depends mostly on the woman and how she carries.

It's possible she will have popped by then, though. Best not to wait too long.

also as woman gets further along baby will get lined up for the big event and belly might hang lower sometimes women will say look the baby dropped. yes there canbe a big difference but if you show up at 40 weeks don't be surprised if she doe not feel up to doing anything.

So my travel will happen when she’s around 36 weeks but I can change that plan which will cost my annual leave. Do you think it’s worth changing?

Go ASAP. Each woman's body is different in pregnancy (although shorter girls tend to carry bigger it seems). I have seen one girl online who's belly barely grows at all through multiple pregnancies, even during her last few weeks.

Belly sizes tend to be pretty good at around 32 weeks+. At 36 weeks, it probably wouldn't get much bigger at 40 anyways. And she could pop any moment. Last year around this time, I met a pregnant girl through Reddit and we hit it off and flirted, and I decided to book a flight and hotel to go visit her when she was 36 weeks along (financially risky for sure, but the payoff would be worth it in my opinion).
