I've been seeing a lot of people that don't seem to know how to record videos, or others using weird and complicated softwares to do so.
Since I'm knowledgeable on the subject I thought I'd write a comprehensive guide on how to record cam footage, since the more porn we have, the happier we all are. I'm also gonna go over a few things that people forget to check when recording videos that I've been seeing so many times over the years.
So let's start.
For this guide I will be explaining OBS (https://obsproject.com/) a popular streaming app that also doubles as a recording app. It's WYSIWYG and available for all OSs.
1 - Download the program
2- Open it
3- Have your favorite camsite open in another window, different from your main browser. This will allow you to keep using your browser, while the cam is recording. Remember that the program only records what it sees on the window, if you switch to another tab, it will record that one.
4- Back in OBS, select the active scene. More scene can also be created by right clicking, think of these as folders, that contain all the sources you want to record from. The program will record everything that is inside the selected scene.
5- Now right click on the white box under "Sources", then go to add, and select "Window Capture".
6- In the pop-up, select "Create New", and give it whatever name you want. Then click "OK".
7- In the next pop-up, you'll see a projection of your screen. But, the program might not be capturing the right window with the cam on it, so let's fix that.
8- Click on the drop-down next to "Window" and in it, select the window you want to capture from.
9- You might also want to deselect "Capture Cursor", as it's kinda ugly. Once you're done, click on 'OK".
Now you have your window set up. You could finish here, but recording the whole page isn't very nice.
10- To crop the page, right click on the Source you just added, and scroll down to "Filters". Once here, click on the "+" sign in the bottom left, and select crop. Now you can manually crop out the areas you don't want. Once done, click on "close". Here's a quick video on how to do this.

11- Now you should have something like this in your main view. It's pretty close, but you're still not done.
12- You know have to stretch the cropped video to fit the whole black space in the preview.
Just click on one of the corners, and drag it until it fits the whole black screen inside OBS. Once done you can move your source at the center of the screen by clicking on it, and dragging it.
13- You are done. Once you press on the "Start Recording" button on the right the video shown in the preview will be recorded and saved in the selected folder. You can change this folder by going to File > Settings > Output > Recording Subsection > Recording Path.
14 EXTRA- In case you have a microphone, the program might recognize it automatically, and record sounds from it. To make sure this doesn't happen, go to the "Mixer" section in your main view, and make sure the speaker next to Mic/Aux is deactivated.
DO NOT DO THIS FOR DESKTOP AUDIO, OR THE VIDEO WILL HAVE NO SOUND
Feel free to ask any questions at all if there are any doubts.
Would love if this was stickied so that everyone could see it.
