To be honest I think it has to do with some form of chemical reaction inside her body, that once conditions are right then her body begins the process of starting labor. If we could understand that and what it is then we could safely predict how long she is pregnant and also when?

There is past due which is after 41 weeks. But this can be solved with duct tape. I doubt fluid can break through duct tape. What ive always wanted to see is a preggo who puts duct tape covering their V so the baby and "water" dont come out until she wants it to. Ripping duct tape off hurts worse than anything.

Ive seen women go past 45 weeks. Just google Past due an you will find discussion boards n stuff.

This seems like a remarkably stupid thing to do. If the water has broken then that means the body is beginning the labor process. Granted, sometimes it happens too early and doctors have to delay labor with medicine and such. But fucking duct tape?

Yes I have seen it used that way. Its funny too. Its like getting a waxing but worse. Its like a ant getting sprayed with wasp spray. I have seen women go past 43 weeks and some used Duct Tape. You just have to put a towl down after you remove it. I luv duct tape.

....I'm pretty sure even if a woman does pass 43 weeks, the last thing she would want at that point is to prolong her pregnancy, or risk an infection by applying tape on their vagina.
