Pretty much, an employee at Pixar accidently deleted 90% of the movie off of the server. Luckily, a director who just gave birth was working from home and had was sent a backup of the movie assets prior to the server deletion.

So pregnancy in a way saved one of the best Pixar movies of all time.

Not everyone does, so this is a learning lesson for at least one person.

that's cool! one of my favorite movies too. it was the first movie i saw in theaters!

It was also supposed to be a direct-to-video sequel, but Pixar made it too high quality, so Disney made it a theatrical release instead.

When she was legit the only person with the backup, I don't think so. Her computer would've been wiped just like everyone else's had she been at work that day.
