This twins vs. singleton progression shows the twin belly growing and surpassing the singleton in size though the twins is 9 weeks behind. Twins eventually becomes gigantic. I've found these comparisons between friends with multiples vs. singleton hard to find. Anyone have any more? Thanks.

It is a fun idea, though. A few years ago I had two coworkers get pregnant around the same time, with due dates a couple weeks apart. One was no taller than about 5'2" and in her 3rd pregnancy, while the twinner was about 5'10" and in her 2nd pregnancy. Both were pretty thin. Early on they struck up a friendly rivalry about the size of their bellies: tall girl thought she would get bigger because of twins and was due later, short girl thought she would get bigger because she was so short and had been pregnant more times. Myself and two other coworkers were called upon to judge the proceedings, with it eventually turning into a light-hearted contest with regular "weigh-ins" like boxing (really just measuring waists), comparison photos, and subjective judgments on the proportion of belly to body. They both put in $50 and the "winner" would take all.

My money was on Shorty since she had gotten huuuuuuge with both of her previous pregnancies. Sure enough, she built an early lead - at 20 weeks she was as big as she was at about 25 weeks the last time - and talked so much shit about her big belly and how Twinner was barely showing except when she wore something super tight. One time the twinner came to work and on her desk was a printed out photo of her last contest pic next to an old pre-pregnancy photo she'd had sitting there. Shorty had drawn arrows to both and wrote something like "Which one is preggo??" But Twinner caught up big time during the last months, even though Shorty got bigger than her last two pregnancies since the baby ended up being a 9 pounder. At the last "weigh-in" before they both went on maternity leave, Twinner had the larger waist by 1-2 inches while Shorty had the larger fundal height by a couple centimeters. Visually both their bellies looked huge on them. We declared a tie and gave them both their money back.

That was a fun year.
