What a nasty thing to say. Do you know how many families you invalidate when you say that? Shame on you.

I think this is a wonderful idea and you are coming from a great place. Do research on tenancy laws in your state or country. It could be that if she stays a certain amount of time she becomes a tenant and cannot be evicted easily. If she turns out to have major unacceptable problems this could really fuck your life up. Again, not to say you aren't doing a super nice thing, and you know your own situation - just do the homework and protect yourself first. You don't know what the situation could turn into.
