Hi Everyone. New to group here. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My Pregnancy fasination began when I was in fourth grade and my teacher was super pregnant and would let me feel her baby kick all the time. Then in high school when more of my teachers got pregnant plus watching the pregnant weather women on the weather channel and so on. Now about 2 years later I'm a sophomore in college and my mom who is 38 is pregnant with twin girls due in August.

It's been great watching her belly grow and expand. But she has been mentioning to my dad and me about having weird pregnancy dreams. Like for example last week she dreamt that she got so big and round that we had to roll her to the hospital to give birth. 

So my question is, is it true women can have weird dreams when pregnant? If so why?

I have heard that vivid dreams are very common in pregnancy, and in fact that it can be one of the first symptoms.

She's started having these weird pregnancy dreams a few weeks before she became pregnant.

I barely have dreams at all normally, when I’m pregnant I can remember my dreams and have them almost every night so it’s definitely a thing for me

Vivid pregnancy dreams are totally a thing! I’m 18 weeks pregnant with my second, and I have had them both pregnancies. My dreams aren’t necessarily about being pregnant, but they are incredibly detailed and I tend to wake up remembering most of the dream.

I believe the dreams are caused due to the hormones, but that is just a guess.
