Depends on alot. My company has an open door hiring policy and I do see alot of moms who are looking for something to while there kids are in school or after the husband gets home.
That’s so many factors that play into that though. If a couple can afford it then they’ll obviously stay home longer
(May 17, 2021, 6:51 pm)Thebige @Phamas your point is exactly why she waits.Right but until what point? Can they afford a SAHM until they leave for college? A lot of women have to go right back to work after maternity leave
What if the oldest is still very young, like barely kindergarten age?
This sort of hypothetical has way too many outside elements that aren’t mentioned. Plus, if the mother wants to head back to work she’ll head back to work. If she doesn’t, she doesn’t. It’s kind of pointless for us to give our input

I know in some cultures it is forbidden for the wife to get job after the kids are born despite some of them having 8-10 kids per household. The first pregnant woman I hooked up with as an adult had 5 kids and her husband left her because she took a job because his salary of 30k wasn't going to support 6 kids. (She showed me the divorce papers where it specifically stated her getting a job as the reason for divorce). But aside from need there could also be a passion for a job or industry. On my team a couple years ago I had a woman who was an assistant "county" prosecutor who decided to join my company after her baby was born because it allowed her to stay in the legal field without the stringent schedule of an attorney. I do get alot of moms with advanced degrees looking for something flexible come through my door. | |||||||||||||||||
