Well, it debuts in Malaysia, in a negative way.
It's especially bad when 'experts' opinion are roped in to define it as abnormal mental illness, and said to be much like zoophilla, necrophilla, pedophilla

I'm not going to read the article because the last thing I need is more negativity about this.
I will say, however, that there are parts of the world where people still cling to outdated and oppressive conservative societal norms. Malaysia is one such place, so this is no surprise at all. They have some growing up to do.
And though I am loathe to say this because I don't want a fatwa on me, do note that Malaysia's official and most popular religion is Islam... so... draw your own conclusions.

Well this isn't anything new. This fetish has such a bad rep in Malaysia as it does in America, parts of Europe, and a lot of other places. And as much as some don't want to hear it, I doubt that any of that is ever going to change (at least during our lifetime), due to the outside world thinking the fetish is all about the unborn child.

Lol, that article is hilarious. It reads like one of those old American moral panics about violence on TV or that Pokemon games are secretly Satanic(look up that sermon on youtube if you want a good laugh). I wouldn't worry too much about it. Anyone with an ounce of common sense should know to be careful what they post on the internet.

Again, don't need a fatwa on me, but check out how awesome these people are about LGBT rights! So progressive!

LGBT rights? On some Indonesian islands you get lashes for holding a woman's hand in public. In a deeply religious society like Indonesia, staying in the closet is probably the way to go.

Fair enough, not ready to talk about LGBT rights until they get a basic sense of human rights. Punishment for sex outside marriage, that's some modern thinking right there.
