Trying to post a video into a post but both times (.mov and .mp4) it has come back saying it's an invalid type and it won't upload. I guess the question is, are we able to post videos into the posts?

Nope, only pictures are allowed to be uploaded directly to the site. You would have to upload the video to either Google Drive or Mega.nz and post the link of the drive containing the video.
