Dudes trying to out insult each other produces no winners. It amounts to an unproductive testosterone fueled pissing contest that makes everyone involved look bad.

Civil debates are one thing but when people start throwing foul language insults at each other the tread becomes toxic.

What I meant was the concept of a civil debate is welcome. It doesn’t happen here because some people think using foul language makes them appear tough or it will intimidate the person on the receiving end. There is a lack of agreeing to disagree here as well.

It was meant for the people who let their tempers get the best of them.

Most “civil debates” devolve into verbal conflicts only because displaying any sense of decency towards the women who make pregnancy content means you’re automatically some “white knight” instead of someone who just doesn’t want to bite the hand that feeds you

I agree. The reason why the discussions aren't civil is because this site is anything but polite. We're on a porn site, not the pokemon fandom. I doubt polite people watch porn (they would be ashamed to admit it.) Also: I'd like to add that-> ranting, going off topic with replies isn't "against the rules" on any thread on this site, as long as someone doesn't link an IG, YT or Twitter profile (or name a teen) then they are fine. So anyone that posts "rants" & going off topic isn't against any rules on this site.

Just because people don't like something, doesn't make it wrong. There was a simple saying when social media started: "Don't like? Don't look". People here throw worse insults than politicians.

Main issue is the lack of response time from admin/pregphil. If the arguments get nipped in the bud, then they won't end up taking over a thread (just like this one)

If they can take down a user making death threats in a timely manner, then they should have no problem preventing arguments. This site has been around for 10 years now and has thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of visitors/users. Hire more admins since it's obvious that 2 people can't maintain this site by themselves.

Did anyone use the Report feature? I didn't because I don't care and don't think anything here is worth reporting. I don't think any mods just read through threads for fun... they rely on us to report stuff.

Admin/pregphil know that we are all adults in here (at least we are supposed to be). They allow a certain amount of freedom to avoid creating a heavily policed environment that makes people feel like their parents are watching. I think they don't mind foul language as long as it is not racist, homophobic, or threatening someone's life. I think we as members can do a lot to control discussions that become unproductive arguments. You can tell when someone is becoming toxic just by reading their comments. A good strategy would be to end the argument by providing no further responses to the combative person.

Others who visit the thread and read the combative comments should not chime in with their two cents. If no one engages the combative person the argument will be snuffed out.
