The new Barbie Movie posters have been revealed. It looks like Emerald Fennel will be playing "Midge" a Barbie doll that is pregnant.

I did some reading online. In 2002/2003, Mattel released a Midge doll, Barbie's best friend, with a detachable pregnant belly and baby. The doll was pulled from stores after parents complained the doll was promoting teen pregnancy/pregnancy out of wedlock. (The first wave of dolls lacked a wedding ring.)
I didn't think I'd be researching Barbie dolls today.
