(June 1, 2022, 10:32 am)Way123 Honestly this fetish is at it's best when people weren't trying to normalize it. There's going to be people who hate gays and minorities until the end of humankind. Same applies for people who find this fetish odd and gross. Trying to convince them otherwise is futile.
Perhaps. I'll never understand the foot fetish, just like most of the world won't ever understand this fetish. The difference is that I just shrug and go "not for me" about that, while most of the world goes "disgusting perverts!" regarding us. It's great.......

That's an apples to oranges comparison. A foot's a foot, and most people have at least one. A pregnancy is a life changing time for most women so that's obviously going to be a higher value to them over some guy eyeballing their toes. They can wear closed toes shoes, but can't hide a belly after a while.

It's still a fair comparison - I wasn't talking about feet specifically, just pulled that out at random. My reaction to that fetish (and most others) is "eh, okay, if that does it for you - but I don't think you're a shit person for it", whereas people do think we're shit much of the time... sometimes because that's just how people react to fetishes and sexuality in general, and sometimes because of the things you've noted.

Because this fetish involves a child, whether people want to admit it or not. You can say "oh we're not interested in the kid, just the belly shape", well how do you think the belly got it's shape in the first place? And you can't deny that this site hasn't help give this fetish it's shit image with people reuploading photos from the women and giving them the middle finger if/when they find out.

I think there's a superficial similarity to the justification some really skeevy online communities that will justify 127 ways their consumed content *isn't* actually pedo shit but is covering for their actual desires. Pregnancy fetish seems to overlap with stuffing, bloating/inflation, chubby chasing and vore none of which involve children (I hope). If you picked a part most people's fetish based desires in pregnancy fetishes I think few of them would really be centred around the fetus itself as object, more so as consequence.

Compare that to loli, or something like that where people will go out of their way to justify 1000 year old dragon in 11 year old body so it's not really a child ect (really starts to border on stuff I'm not ok with but I digress), the object of desire is inherently linked to transgressive youthfulness/childishness.

I think public reaction comes down to how far removed a fetish is from 'conventional' vanilla sex, vs how close it is to clear sexual taboos.

A balloon fetish is high on weird, and far removed from conventional sex so people look at it funny. No one is made of balloons, so there's no fear that a balloon fetishist is voyeuristically looking at me. A foot fetish is less 'weird' in that its still attached to the body, and closer to conventional sex so I think it's more disgusting to the average person because everyone has feet, feet are dirty ect.

Pregnancy is transgressive because it's weird, but not that weird if that makes sense? It's close to conventional sex, but is also very close to several taboos;

kids, cheating, women being vulnerable, women being considered non sexual in pregnancy ect, so someone unfamiliar can have their mind run wild to more weird things given their preconceptions.

I guess what im trying to say is there's a bit of an uncanny valley effect for fetishes, with how far removed they are from 'normal' bodies/lifestyles and 'normal' taboos.
Belly Button
It was mentioned much earlier on in this thread but I'd say about the closest fetish to ours would be the expansion/inflation community. If you're mainly into bellies, it's fundamentally the same thing minus the pregnancy. That's where it all started with me anyway, from a reasonably early age. It's still there to this day.

Like others, my interest focuses solely on the bodily changes.

I'm struggling to come up with fetishes which have similar issues to ours with being tarred with the 'bad brush' though...

Maybe we take a pregnancy fetish farther than most, but basically I think it's a pretty normal impulse to think pregnant women are attractive.

After all, what kind of a fucked up God (or evolution or whatever) would make pregnant women repulsive just when they need attention and support the most.

Thank you, Ahkenaten, for the belly movement vids.

Well, psychology is more complicated than that since a lot of straight men in the US (claim to) think pregnant women *are* disgusting --- or at least that has been my experience.  (My theory is it is mostly a cultural thing.)

Right? Jeez I've always wondered what the fuck that is about. I suppose because they're already filled up and thus less valuable as a fuck/breed target?

To me it always been about the quality of sex and freedom about not having to worry about the condom. I find that and when a woman is on her period to be the best sex.
