I have an Instagram account that I use only for searching for pregnant content, and I have noticed an interesting trend as of late.  Half of my recommendations are of Indonesian/Malaysian pregnant women, and BOY are they hot!  You'd figure that places soo conservative wouldn't have such pregnant hotties.  Even the conservatively dressed Muslim women wear tight clothes that accentuate their bellies and curves.

Less an instagram wide trend more a ‘your account’ trend.

Insta shows you photos similar to ones you’ve interacted with the most, so at some point a while ago, you started (subconsciously perhaps) interacting with more posts like that, and insta picked up that you like them and has shown them to you more as a result. I see a bunch of Germans/Russians on mine as a result of accidental early interaction, but now it’s self-reinforcing.

Good news is you can use it to benefit you by going out of your way to save photos you like and let the algorithm work for you.
