44 weeks pregnant a possibility?

Looks like scientist are getting closer to effectively preventing pre-term labor. Wouldn't it be possible for a regular termed pregnancy to become really overdue(3-4 weeks)? There would likely be some negative health implications but think it's exciting knowing real world science can make preggos go past due! Hopefully you find the link interesting. Any thoughts?

I still doubt a doctor would make a woman go much further past the 42 week point.

Oh its possible. And if you beg your doctor to not induce labor. I think being overdue is great. C sections are for wimps. So are drugs. A real woman doesn't need a hospital. My mom had me past 44 weeks at home drug free. She went back to work the next day. & in all her other pregnancies they were always overdue. She hopes to go past 44 in this pregnancy.

Just have faith. We don't see the wind but we feel it. I'm just lucky. I guess good things come to those who pray. What's difficult about a guy who has a mom who was pregnant 7 times (4 times with multies as a surrogate)?

There's nothing with bending science for things. As long as there's no death is OK. And honestly... C sections are for wimps! If Martin Luther King Jr can do the civil rights movement then a woman can push anything out. So I'm sure a woman can stretch it for a little longer. Just Indore the pain longer.

If you refuse induction you could get to 44 weeks pregnant, i have had a few friends i know that have gotten close to that.My own were term, 40 to 41 weeks (10 days past), but my twins pregnancies were 36 and 34 weeks. Mind you I was measuring to 50 weeks at 33...
