(Sorry for my bad candid taking skills)

I went to target to pick up a few things and as I was entering I realized I was right behind this women. I followed her for a while and after taking a few videos I got enough courage to walk up to her and ask to rub her belly, which she was fine with.

After rubbing her belly we talked for a few more minutes to try and make the situation slightly less awkward and she told me she was 37 weeks pregnant with her first, it’s a boy. Again sorry the pictures and videos aren’t great but it’s the best I could do.

Love stuff like this as I’m always jealous of the balls to ask. I got to feel a friends belly the other day, but a complete random has to be exhilarating.

Not really, like I said I’ve never taken many candids so most of the shots were either poorly framed or blurry

How do you approach someone and ask them? What exactly do you say because I've always wanted to do this especially when I see candid videos of them lifting their shirts and willingly being recorded.

I’m still in college so the excuse I use is me and my friends play this game where we have to do embarrassing things in public like tie a random persons shoe lace or in this case rub a pregnant persons belly. And the only way to prove I did it was for me to record it.

I think it works since I’m a bit younger and I guess she just assumes that’s what the kids do nowadays but I’m 1-0 on asking so small sample size.

I think you’re better off saying you’re an art major and part of your curriculum involves an interactive piece with your subject. It’s a modern perspective of the maternal condition and you’re capturing a glimpse of the spiritual bond shared between a mother and her child. Like make it sound very spiritual etc. Just say you minor in feminist theory and you’ll be fine.
