So cool to see! Its weird like today your used to seeing like tshirts and stuff kinda tailored to pregnancy. That stuff looks like just dresses with extra room. Dont get me wrong i appreciate it i think its super neat

Thanks for posting this historic/classic/vintage photo thread: the progression of an opening of pregnancy in 3 decades (1950-80) in North American culture where I happen to live, esp. in very liberal CA to be exact. I read the 1980s-90s maternity photo thread (memories of seeing women in their pregnancies during my childhood), the end of those flowing large dresses that "hides" and the beginning of clothes that freely shows she has a bump. I'm so glad to been alive in the period of 1990-2020 for a more casual and highly expressive attitude about pregnancy, but these photos shows many women already wanted to capture and save those moments of their lives.
Pregnant women are growing, showing, knowing herself...and glowing bright with life.
